Gareth attended the free jumping clinic with Bob Henselwood in 2008. Gareth was widely received as a perfect gentleman. Mr. Henselwood was impressed with his form and power over the fences. He commented that Gareth had great potential as a jumper and was one to watch for. He also commented that Gareth had exceptional movement and could very easily excel as a dressage horse. Gareth was presented and licensed RPSI in 2008 receiving 8's for his walk and canter and 9 for his trot.
Gareth's sire, Gardeulan I , by Gotthard, the most successful Hanoverian sire with progeny winnings over 2 million DM. Gardeulan I is a versatile sire, with two outstanding Hanoverian sire lines, Waismannsdank xx and Ferdinand. His progeny are successful dressage horses, showjumpers and eventers.
Gareth's dam sire, Falkland, comes from two successful bloodlines, his sire Wanderer is an "all-round" producer, passing on jumping and dressage talent. Pik Konig is renowned for producing excellent dressage horses. Falkland himself has a lively temperament with energetic and rhythmical basic paces, clearly stamped by his sire both in character and appearance, and known for his rideability, particularly in jumping, showing tremendous ability and faultless manner.
Gareth's dam-line carries the Celle State stallion Drosselklang II by Don Carlos/Frustra II, Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2001. At the 1986 Verden stallion licensing, Drosselklang II placed first in the jumping division.
