Donavan is an Elite Hanoverian Stallion from Germany, Res. Ch. at his 1988 100 Day Test with 136.16 pts., earning 9's for: ride ability , work ethic, jump ability, trot; elasticity, 10 /canter . These traits plus endearing temperament, correct conformation and substance pass to his foals. He crosses especially well with TB and Arabian mares, and modern warmbloods. Named East Coast Elite Hanoverian Licensing Champion (USA) 1996, he carries esteemed A and D Bloodlines Argentan, Absatz / Dirk, Duft II/ Senator/Grande. Dressage career took off under George Williams, and he soon won USDF, FEI awards in the 70%'s. He earned 'many Region 2 Championships at Prix. St. Geo. /Int. Freestyle . Earned FEI High Point awards. '01-'02 with JJ Tate, he often pinned Int-I and II and Grand Prix, consistently 60%-iles; with 8's on his trot, elasticity, earning Int.-II, USDF - Hann. 5th Place Year End Awards in 2001 and in '02, 3rd Pl. in, high 60's to 70%. Donavan retired from GP competition scoring above 65% continuing to give exhibitions and clinics at Grand Prix.

In 2006, Donavan's young offspring were noticed at breed and performance championships. Drachen Herz, ('99 colt) is an approved stallion with many prestigious placings. Many now excel as eventers, like Daimla Benz, also scoring over 80%' from Hilda Gurney for Breed Show championship, Duesenjaeger '99 won most of his classes at First and Second level with scores often over 70%, earning High Points and Born in the USA Awards!

In 2007, Davy Crockett, '03 won the Region 1 Championship at Training level at Lexington VA, and 3rd place at FEI 4 year old young horse Test at Dressage at Devon. He was also 7th place in the National Young Horse championships, ridden by JJ Tate. 2008 continues his success with JJ Tate and his Amateur Owner as well, winning high marks for his Regional championships and the BLM awards. He earned 3rd place in the Region 1 Championships in a huge class of 34. Donavan stands at Kent Island Sporthorses, where his owners breed many top foals. He is sire of premium GOV, ISR/Oldenburg NA foals, Inspection Site champions at AHS and Oldenburg inspections, Hunter and Jumper winners as well.
