Lavita showed successfully in the Grand Prix show jumping arena for many years. In 2000 he won the Showpark Western Classic Grand Prix at Thunderbird. In 2001 he was 3rd in the Kern County Classic, 4th in the Memorial Day Classic, 2nd in the Portola Valley Classic, 2nd at Pebble Beach Classic I, 3rd at Pebble Beach Classic II. In 2002 he was 1st at the Oaks International Grand Prix. Lavita is now retired from the show ring
Lavita comes from a long line of Holsteiner legends, Landgraf I, Ladykiller, Capitol I, Ronald, Ramiro. Landgraf I passed on his show jumping genes, Ladykiller passed on performance, Capitol I gave him his exceptional jumping traits and enormous ability, Ronald passed on power and performance, Ramiro gave him rideability and jumping talent.
Lavita passes on to his progeny his elegant type and his tremendous jumping abilities. His offspring are diverse competing in a variety of disciplines. Lavita's offspring compete in combined driving (2002 premium colt, Linksman), eventing (2000 mare Philona), dressage (1999 mare Olieta, show jumping, (1998 mare, Nivita and 2002 colt LaLair). His 2007 foal Lancelot BF exhibits exceptional movement and is an elegant type. Lavita crosses well with all types of mares, as his offspring demonstrate, he can produce young horses suitable for any discipline.
