Illusion is a rare combination of amazing temperament, personality, conformation and athleticism. He has floating gaits and is very impressive in the free jump chute, demonstrating his quickness off the ground, exceptional knee action and powerful hindquarters. His lighter athletic build is the epitome of a sportpony with both horse looks and stride. He is super willing and has an excellent work ethic. We are thrilled with his first filly and look forward to his 2011 crop.
With less than 30 days of under saddle training, under his trainer's supervision, Illusion was safely ridden over single fences, by a 7 year old. Illusion began his performance career in 2'6" jumper divisions in 2010, where he successfully competed against horses. He was Champion in the Amateur Division and Reserve Champion in the Opens at his first show at Amberlea Meadows Novice Horse Show.
Illusion was Supreme Champion and Reserve Grand Champion at the 2009 Alberta Welsh Youngstock Futurities in Olds. At the same show, as a two year old, Illusion was Reserve Champion Pleasure Driving Pony. He finished Provincial Section B Reserve Champion in 2009. At his Sport Pony inspection, Illusion was Reserve Site Champion and was scored as First Premium. Illusion has placed fourth in two successive years at the Canadian Warmblood, "Jump to the Challenge" chute jump against horses. He was 4th in the Driving Derby at 2010 Fall Classic Warmblood Sale, as well as Alberta Reserve Champion Pleasure Driving Pony (1 show).
He is also closely related to highly acclaimed 4X National Section B Champion Stallion, Pajon's Royal Bellringer, through the same sire and line breeding on the dam side.
