Tempranillo is the complete package of super movement, great jumping ability and excellent conformation with a confident, quiet temperament. He has proven to be a true all-round stallion with top placings up to 1.40m Jumpers and before that having great success in the FEI young horse dressage ring. In 2011 he was ridden by an amateur up to 1.30m, competing at many of the biggest tournaments in the West including Thermal, Spruce Meadows, Thunderbird and Del Mar with great success.

Tempranillo's foals are now five year olds in 2011 and are proving to be just like their father, very self assured and loving of attention. He adds length of leg and over all scope to his offspring with more suspension in the gaits and incredible jumping ability. Starting his offspring is a pleasure, they have the confidence of a broke horse with good trainability and work ethics. One of his oldest offspring B'quick has been ridden by an amateur throughout the entire year and after starting his show career in May was by August jumping 1.0m courses and finished the year by become Champion 5 year old at Carousel Ridge's young horse jumper show with an impressive score of 94%. They are also very good movers with a lot of upper level Dressage potential with their great balanced canter and super, pushing trots.

Tempranillo's sire is the 17.1 hh Calvados Keur who jumped at the international level and has many international offspring jumping at Grand Prix level, e.g. Macanudo's Deniro (Peter Wylde), Royal Future (Allison Firestone), Illussion (Tani Anderson), Silber Bird (Markus Beerbaum) and the list goes on.

Tempranillo's dam Ilobria Keur, Pref competed at National level in both the jumper ring and dressage, as well as producing some exceptional offspring who have also competed at 1.30m or above.
