Neostan, an approved KWPN stallion, is by the well-known dressage sire Florestan I. Florestan himself, is known for being one of the leading producers of top dressage horses in Germany. After winning his Stallion Performance Testing in 1989 in Warendorf, Germany, Florestan went on to sire many approved sons and top auction horses.
Neostan finished 1st at his 70-Day Stallion Testing in 1998. He also made a strong impression by winning the Weert Stallion Show in 1999/2000 with an average score of 8 and higher. This same year he placed second at the Stallion Competition Finals in Den Bosch, the Netherlands.
Neostan has continued his winning ways since being imported to the United States. In 2004 Neostan started training under Jim Koford, successfully moving up through the FEI levels, and earning scores ranging in the mid-sixties and seventies. With Jim, he has collected such titles as Reserve Champion at Prix St. Georges, and Champion in Intermediare 1, at the Region 1 Championships. Neostan is currently schooling Grand Prix.
Neostan is a stallion with good long lines, a good front end and has very good use of his hindquarters. He has sired over 200 offspring in the Netherlands before coming to the United States in 2003. His offspring inherit their sire's size, substance, movement and are succeeding in competitions in both the United States and the Netherlands.
