Patten is an imported German bred stallion with a rare bloodline constellation. His sire, Poker was a successful show jumper in Europe teamed with Grand Prix rider Otto Becker. The pair showed in many Nations Cups, providing numerous wins for Germany at the Grand Prix level. Poker is sired by the world famous Pilot. Pilot was the youngest show jumper millionaire that has ever existed among Germany's stallions.
Patten's dam, Evita III, by Leuthen II, out of Landgraf, is also a successful show jumper and is now gone back to Germany for breeding. Landgraf is considered by Warmblood breeders across the globe to be one of, if not, THE stallion of the Century. Of all of the Ladykiller sons, Landgraf was able to assert himself the best. At this time, he is the most successful sire of show jumpers the world has seen. Evita III also has the former champion of the approvals, Fernando, in her lineage, being her grand sire. Fernando sired the approved stallions Fabio I and II. & won and placed up to medium level (M/A) as a six year old in 2004. The line founding stallions, Fernando and the Thoroughbred, Ladykiller, have made a substantial contribution in guaranteeing jumping ability.
Patten has correct conformation, three good gaits and above average jumping ability. His temperament and ride-ability make him very desirable as a breeding stallion as well as a performance horse. He has a very quiet personality and is very willing to please. He too passes these traits on to his offspring.
