Simsalabim was imported as a six month old colt in 1996 and was provisionally approved in 1998 for stallion service by the BWP/NAD. In 2001 he was fully licensed by completing his performance requirements through show jumping; the first stallion to do this for the BWP/NAD. His pedigree is unmatched in North America as it contains four International jumping stallions Nonstop, ridden by Nelson Pessoa; Darco 7th in the 1992 Olympics; Feinnschnitt 10th in the 1984 Olympics and Jasper ridden by Hugo Simon, as well as foundation stallions Cor de la Bryere, Lord, Ladykiller xx and Cottage Son xx.

Sim placed very well in many classes including two thirds in Mini Prixs at level 8 and went up to the National Grand Prix level in Show Jumping before returning to stud duty in 2005

His foals have shown at Dressage at Devon placing him 3rd in the get of sire class and Blue Bayou B was 5th in 2003 USDF HORSE of the YEAR in Dressage breeding as a 2 year old colt. He is the proud sire of two BWP provisionally approved stallions, Blue Bayou B and Cielo B.

Simsalabim's oldest foal Ali Baba B with the median score of 72.326 became the USDF HORSE OF THE YEAR at 2nd level in 2007 as well as winning both VINTAGE CUPS for his owner and trainer at both 1st and 2nd level. Dante B (showing as D'or V'Dor) was the champion for best performance at the Midwest final of the INTERNATIONAL JUMPING FUTURITY. Dante B also won a major 5 year old YJC class at WEF in 2008 . Cielo B obtained his final approval for breeding with BWP as a result of his jumping performance.
