Weissgold throws powerful, correct gaits, good conformation and beautiful expression. His sire, Wagner produced many significant international offspring, the most prominent being Wanderer owned by Celle in Germany. His grandsire, Wendekreis is known as a producer of horses with excellent trainability, siring over 50 approved stallions including Werther, the first Hanoverian "Stallion of the Year" in 1992. Also noteworthy in Weissgold's pedigree is Gotthard, a leading sire of showjumpers in Germany, siring over 34 licensed stallions, including Goya and the famous mare, Gogo Moeve, Voltaire's dam.

Weissgold's dam, September Gold xx, a multiple Grand Champion conformation winner, produced 2 approved stallions contributing both elegance and refinement to her offspring. Her pedigree combines the rare bloodlines of Hyperion xx, tracing to Bay Ronald, with the blood of War Admiral, Sickel, Nearco, Selene, Plucky Liege and Teddy (3x). These bloodlines are seen in concentrations throughout international eventing horse pedigrees.

During Weissgold's show career he earned his Bronze Premium status in dressage and continued to compete successfully in dressage under a Junior Young Rider. He was also successfully campaigned in eventing, demonstrating good jumping technique, courage and stamina.

Weissgold's offspring have shown successfully in hunter, jumper and eventing competitions. His semen is excellent quality.
