Concerto Grosso is a gorgeous stallion with a lovely temperament and way of going. He has good bone and exceptional feet. He has produced Premium mares including two mares during the 2011 AHHA Inspection Tour that were Champions of their sites. He also produced the Premium colt, Commando at the Hyperion Stud inspection. He is very prepotent, consistently improving the mares he is bred to. His semen is of the highest quality and ships well. In 2011, he settled 95% of the mares he was bred to on the first shipment.
Concerto Grosso completed the 70 day test as a seven year old in 2005 with a total score of 104.48 (jumping index of 110.58).
He produces athletic offspring with exceptional jumping abilities. He is the sire of the 2011 United States Eventing Association's West Coast 4 Y.O. Young Event Horse Reserve Champion, Counterpoint. He has numerous offspring showing in the hunters, jumpers, eventing and foxhunting.
His sire, Concerto II (by Contender), stood at stud only three seasons before dying at the age of six. At his Stallion Performance Test, he scored 130.8 and was awarded the highest possible score of 10.0 for course jumping and training. From those limited seasons, he produced dozens of successful international Grand Prix jumpers including Cassiato (ridden by Harley Brown) who won a number of Grand Prixs in 2011.
We are offering special deals to owners of exceptional mares. Call or email for details. Check out our website and "Like" Concerto Grosso Holsteiner Stallion on Facebook for more information and for up-to-date news.
