Briar – horse of the year 2007 at the riders gala

Swedish Stallion – Briar 899 was announced "Horse of the Year" for the second time – a horse who has been an important and decisive part during the year. Briar was also elected as part of the newly established "Horse of Fame" to where seven horses were elected this year, a salute to horses that have accomplished something great in the sport. The others are: VDL Cardento, Mynta, H%M Butterfly Flip, Wilson, Mac Kinley and Keymaster xx. From now on, only one horse will be elected in the Horse of Fame a year.
Jan Brink was announced the "Dressage Rider of the Year" and Briar's horsekeeper Emelie Ahlberg was announced "Horsekeeper of the Year 2007".
Briar and Okeanos Both Heading to Germany!
Briar and younger brother, Okeanos, are both slated to compete in the Neumunster Horse Show in Germany. Briar will compete in the World Cup Qualifier while younger brother, Okeanos is starting his International career in the Prix St. Georges and I-1. This will be Okeanos's 4th competition with two wins already. The Neumunster CDI will run Feb.13-17.
