Contucci Leads the USEF Rankings

Contucci, owned and managed by Hilltop Farm, has risen steadily to the lead as more of his offspring have started showing, being ranked 7th in 2005 and 3rd in 2006. Further attesting to his consistent production of top quality dressage mounts, Contucci was also named the 2005 USEF Breeding Sire of the Year for the results of his offspring at Sport Horse Breeding Shows.
Contucci's offspring are well-known for their uncomplicated, willing natures and excellent rideability. Currently, his offspring are showing from Training Level to Prix St. Georges. Some of the recent victories they have celebrated include Calimar winning the 2007 USDF Region 9 Championship for First Level Jr/Yr and the First Level Freestyle. In 2006, Calimar, owned by Joan and Claire Dernell and breed by Zada Steidl, was also the Champion of the USDF All Breeds Awards for ISR/Oldenburg in the FEI six-year-old division. The Darnells celebrated further as Carnegie, also breed by Zada Steidl, took 2007 USDF Region 9 Reserve Champion for the Prix St. Georges in the Jr/Yr division. In 2006, BW Callista, owned by Leslie Valente and breed by Linda Santomenna, seized the USEF/Markel National Championship for the four-year-old division, where FEI "O" judge Axel Steiner commented, "You're sitting on a treasure." Not to mention, Hilltop's own Cabana Boy, breed by Doug & Shannon Langer, who took home the USEF/Markel National Championship in 2007 for the five-year-old division and is consistently winning at Third Level with scores in the 70's this season. Truly, the success of Contucci's offspring is strongly felt in the dressage arena today.
