Brisk sales at foal auction Verden. The Don Crusador/Weltmeyer-son Da Vinci T (breeder: Helga Tschierske, Dohren , exhibitor: Johann Johannsen, Buxtehude) was the top priced horse of the 120th Hanoverian Elite Riding Horse Auction. A well-known show stable in Rhineland purchased him at Euro 160,000. The 87 auction horses were sold at an average price of Euro 24,034.

Most expensive show jumping horse of the collection was the six-year-old stallion Cisco by Cento/Singular Joter (breeder: Dr. Karl-Otto Jacobs, Bierbergen, exhibitor: Werner Andreas Meixner, Burgwedel). The grey was sold at Euro 52,000 to Belgium. The horses were sold to 13 different countries. 32 Hanoverians will leave Germany. Belgium customers purchased five youngsters, followed by Great Britain with four and France, Italy, the United States and Switzerland with each three purchased horses. Taking the current market situation into consideration, the overall result was quite satisfactory. "The price level was lower than last year. But the price structure was good and there were some top-priced horses among them," auction manager Dr. Günther Friemel said. The result is certainly also due to the excellent customers relations of the Hanoverian Society.

The Foal Auction average auction sales price of Euro 7,455 was achieved. This is Euro 1,000 more than last year. Euro 58,000 was the highest price paid for one of the 56 foals in total. Stallion raisers from Austria purchased the bay colt Sir Wester by Soliman de Hus/De Niro (breeder and exhibitor: Anne Wester, Stavern). 38 foals were sold within Germany, 18 to other European countries. The filly Danuta FRH by Dancier/Worldly (breeder: Detlef Ruddat, Kirchlinteln) was raffled off on behalf of FRH, the supporter's club for Hanoverian sport horses. Lucky winner was the German soccer legend Horst Hrubesch.

During the Gala Evening, Jochen Dittmer from Lehringen was honoured with the Hans Joachim Köhler-Prize as most successful auction exhibito of the last ten years. The Grande-Prize was awarded the first time. Winner was Angelika Westerhoff from Lüneburg, the breeder of Celle state stud stallion Don Frederico by Donnerhall/Consul. The 12-yearold dressage stallion successfully competes up to St. Georg-level, and apart from successful competition horses, he also sired 96 state premium mares and 221 Verden auction foals and riding horses. This new award is to honour stallions between 10 and 13 years who already have a considerable influence on the Hanoverian breed as young stallion.
